This morning I followed two rules.  The 10AM rule that says wait until 10 AM EST to give the market time to provide a trend.  The trend was mixed to hardly down.  The second rule is there must be a follow through with the signal.  There was no trend down even by 10:30 am EST.  So no trades where taken this morning.

That is the way it goes some days and that is why mechanical trading systems are hard to write and follow.  There must be some flexibility in your plan.

I am not surprised because of recent market action was strong in light of bad new.

Enjoy the gains from the last trade and look for a new trend down or up to develop.

New trade signal by Tahoe Trading System.

Shortly after the open the markets turned down and the Tahoe System signaled a sell longs. The rule is to wait until end of day to sell longs.  I have the results from a test portfolio shown below.  If the Markets continue down then sell longs if you have not already done so and a buy inverse ETF's gets triggered.

The use of desecration is part of the trading system.

It is important to know of future events that might affect trades negatively.  Of course most of these come from out of the blue and can not anticipate.  There are some like the British vote to exit Euro or not that can be debated ahead of time.  I sat out the trade starting 6/21/2016 for this reason but recorded (TQQQ) trade in the log anyways.  It turned out to be a good move.

All the trades prices in the log are the perfect fill compared to real trades that most times are not the exact price shown.  The trade prices are close to the log so the log represents the potential of the Tahoe Trading system.

I keep a log of all the Tahoe system trades and a score board of winning trades and losing trades.  The year 2014 was the first year and did not start until close to mid year as noted.  This is the score board for TQQQ/SQQQ including the current trade open as of 7/18/2016.

Not saying this is easy it is not.  Timing the market is one of the hardest things I do in life. The rewards are high and the mistakes do cost.  In the end my account grows and that is all that matters.  If you want to have an elaborate story why you buy stocks or ETF's well you will not find it here.  The Tahoe Trading System is a follow the money trading system.
